2007 marked the 25th anniversary of My Little Pony. The "Crystal Princess" continued in the beginning of the year and was quickly replaced by the "25th Anniversary" theme by the end of the year. This year also marked the end of magnets in ponies feet as well as the end of hoof hearts. Most ponies now have heads that turn as of this year as well.
Cutie Cascade ponies continued from 2006. They have symbols that cascade down their leg.
Pretty Pattern ponies also continued from 2006. They typically have elaborate designs as well as a gradient colored body.
Note: Although Daisy Paisley was packaged as a Pretty Patterns pony, she does not have the typical elaborate designs as the previous year did.
Babies Boogie Woogie and Hokey Pokey were re-released with turning heads (noted with a sticker on their packaging) and a slightly modified body mold (mostly ears/legs). They still have magnets in their feet.
Favorite Friends are all previously released pony characters released with a new look and fun accessory. These ponies began the new 25th Anniversary packaging.
Best Friends are the second release of scented ponies. The original release were called Sunny Scents and were released in 2005. Best Friends ponies were also packed in the new 25th anniversary packaging and came with a fun accessory.
Note: I have heard that in some countries these ponies were released with no scents.
Another Toys R Us exclusive 4-pack was released. All of the characters have been previously released, most in a different pose.
A special 4-pack was released with a few accessories and 4 DVDs. The ponies have all been previously released but have slight variations. The most noteable difference is that these ponies do not have hoof hearts/magnets.

A special edition tin was released with 5 well known pony characters. The ponies have all been previously released but have slight variations. The most noteable difference is that these ponies do not have hoof hearts/magnets and they all have matte body finishes.

Sister sets with fun accessories were released. The baby sisters are unique in that they are the only "little sister" ponies released. They are slightly larger than regular baby ponies.
In Europe, the furniture sets returned from last year, but this time they came with a bonus pony.

Rainbow Swirl III was released with the Ice Cream Dream Supreme truck playset. She is a unique pony in that her back legs are poseable so she can sit. She is the only sitting G3 pony.
"Twinkle Twirl lives up to her name when she dances like a ballerina! Move her arms, lift and press the jewel on her crown, and make her twirl as your best friend for the dance recital!"
Sing & Dance Pinkie Pie is a very large electronic pony (approx 13 inches high). She "dances, sings, tells stories, plays games, and more! Her mouth actually moves when she sings! As she plays, her eyes blink and she turns her head. And when she dances, her skirt and tail swish along. You'll also hear her say all sorts of fun phrases, including, 'Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie!' 'Let's dance together!' and 'Playing with you tickles me pink!"
A new styling pony, Cheerilee was released this year. Although she shares her name with another G3 pony, her characteristics are very different. This version of Cheerilee was only released as a styling pony. Also, Star Catcher was released in Styling size but is called as a Decorating Pony. Her body will change colors depending on her temperature.
Styling ponies Cheerilee and Rarity with bonus accessories could be found at Walmart. Rarity came with both 8 and 10 bonus accessories.
So-soft ponies returned from last year. This time they are newborn versions.
At Warmart, the so-soft ponies sometimes came with bonus accessories.
